Nadatarangini
is a registered non-profit cultural organization dedicated to the propagation
of Classical Music in the U.S.A. The basic purpose is to nourish, encourage,
and promote local artists and visiting artists from India. Nadatarangini was
started about 20 years back in Columbus, Ohio. Now it has its roots both in
Washington Metropolitan area and in Ohio.
Nadatarangini
has organized several music programs in additon to its annual "Purandara Dasa
and Thyagaraja Music Festival." Some of these programs include "Navarathna
Maalika", "An Evening with Kalyani", "Papanasam Sivan's Birth Centenary",
"Rachana Manjari", Vachanamrutha Dhaare", "NadaSourabha" and others.
It
is very encouraging to see that more than 200 people regularly perform during
the Annual Music Festival. We hope it will inspire them to improve and enhance
their musical talent and to motivate other children to learn Classical Music
during the Coming years.
We
thank all our patrons, donors, volunteers and advertisers who have helped us
during these years. We also thank Sri Siva Vishnu Temple Executive Committee
and Kaveri Executive Committee for their continued support.
All
our programs have been free and supported by generous contributions and
volunteer assistance from the public. We look forward for their extended
support in the future.
