Aparna Jayaram

Aparna  started learning  classical Carnatic Music under the tutelage of Guru Smt Usha Char  when she was six years old.  Under Guru Usha Char's  blessing and guidance  she has given various performances Nadatarangini at  SSVT,  Dr Abdul Kalam's birthday celebration at JSS  Maryland, the Kennedy Center  and at the Naavika program at Ravindra Kalakshetra Bangalore.

She has a great passion for arts in painting, Clay work etc.  Her work was selected for display at Discovery channel and national geographic. 

Aparna is a freshman at the University of Maryland, College park and is pursuing a major in biochemistry.  

She is also an intern at the UMD Chemistry Department,  researching defect chemistry of nanoparticles. She hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
