Deepa Chellappa

Deepa Chellappa is currently in 8th grade at the Takoma Park Middle School magnet program. She has been learning Carnatic music for 6 years from Smt. Usha Char and is a member of the music group, "Nadasurabhis". She regularly participates in the Thyagaraja Festival at Cleveland and Nadatarangini. Deepa's other interests include Bharatanatyam, Western violin, and Indian violin. She plays tennis and will be attending the magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School this fall.
