Jaishri Shankar
Jaishri Shankar, 9th grade honors student, started learning Carnatic music
under Guru Usha Char at the age of 5. She has been learning for 9 years and
has given various concerts both in India and in US with her music group,
Nadasurabhi. Jaishri performed in the Youth TV show in India. She learns
Bharatha Natyam under Aparna Ramaswamy and plays the western flute in her
school. Jaishri hails from a family of musicians. Her hobbies include reading
good books and spending time with her friends.
